2020. We were told this was a terrible year to start something and maybe an even worse year to raise money. But, in the midst of such a crazy year, God continues showing up and providing what we need to get UrbanPromise Nashville off the ground, which just confirms to us that something really special is taking shape. We have so much to be grateful for, but today we want to share some things that have happened lately:
We are thankful for our Street Leaders- Innocent, Ro, Eh Dah, Bellamie, Emima, and Alexander! We started training them this month and are encouraged by their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
We are thankful for our Board Members- Ryan, Derrick, Marlene, Rick, Mo, Jen, and Andrew. We so enjoyed our time together at our first board retreat this month and much was accomplished!
We are thankful that a local church has partnered with us to provide the first site location for our after school program. The space couldn’t be a more perfect fit for our needs. We are so encouraged by this answered prayer!! So now what? Most of the students we are serving will need transportation to and from our programs. That means we need a bus, and that’s where we need your help! For #GivingTuesday, we are raising funds for one 15 passenger van, so that kids can have access to our programs. We’ll be sending out information soon with details on how you can GET ON THE BUS December 1st to help us raise $20K!
