UrbanPromise Nashville invites you to register your team for the Race for Refuge: A Nashville Refugee Simulation on July 17th from 8:30 am -1:30 pm. This Amazing Race inspired event will begin with a series of interactive tasks themed around refugee experiences and will end with a scavenger hunt focusing on significant locations to the Nashville refugee community. During the race you will experience a little bit of what life is like in a refugee camp, the process refugees go through to come to the US, and how they've persevered and adapted to life here in Nashville. After the race, we’ll come back together for a picnic lunch to celebrate the end of our Summer Camp with families of our campers. Come out to experience something new, learn more about the rich cultural diversity and resilience of the refugee community in our city, and support UrbanPromise Nashville's work with refugee students and families. Teams can range from 2-8 people; $50 registration fee includes lunch. All ages are welcome! Register your team here. Registrations close July 12th.
